Symbian have been making headlines since its release, ruled almost for a decade in mobile market.
Unless until now when there are many competitors in market like Android, iOS , Bada which are trying to take away all, While war between them has already been waged Their makers are trying so hard to beat each other in terms of not only performance but everything one should buy a phone for.
And it seems like Symbian is lagging far behind.
So Here Are Top Five Reasons Why not to buy Symbian and why it lags ,and this is my experience with S60V5 your opinion can be different, and if you are regular Symbian users you might have noticed some of them.
So Without Any Further Delay Here We Go :
1) Oudated Operating System :
I thought it is the main reason why i was not satisfied with it .
Every time you update it ,there is hardly any change that can be figured out .
Although Symbian Anna and Symbian Belle Are also Out there in 2011 but That require new hardware requirements and are for new s60^3 Nokia N8, C7, C6-01. So you need to buy new phone.
2) Slow Multitasking :
Multitasking is the reason why one buys Smartphone Although it support it very well :)
But it will be keep on hanging when you are trying to listen music and play game simultaneously.
And there will not be single day when it ll not restart itself :)
3) Same Typical Looks And Features:
If You buy any new Symbian phone and you already have one,
then cant feel any difference in looks and features.
Same Menu Look Same Styles and all that.
Homescreen will be same if you need to chenge it you need to do modifications or use 3rd party software.
4) Price :
New Anna And Belle based Symbian phones are above 20k which make you think thousand times before spending, that why to buy same Symbian series while there are more good and high performance based Smartphones available in market or to go for Iphone. :)
5) Web Experience :
If You Own One then there is rarely any situation when you use its inbuilt browser. :p
Browser is too slow, And multitabing is just for name.
Phone gets too hot when using internet.
More on Symbian browser can download only one file at one time but now it supports multidownloads, however there is now support for multi window browsing though the Symbian web browser.
So I gave up on that and now i am using opera, or any third party browser. :)
So thats it.
Conclusion :
We are now in 2012 and we want a phone to have almost every feature and at the same time high performance and low price :)
And Symbian is not enough for us to fulfill all.
There are many more Smartphones new OS based like Android provides much advanced and more value to the end users.
Symbian needs to updates its features.
At Last plz Don't see me as Symbian hater im just Telling you the lagging side of it.

Nokia itself dnt want to improve symbian old series,

but guys one thing i like is that nokia symbian phones are much more durable, reliable of quality built, simple & easy to handle for all age group but still we young generation dnt lyk nokia.

might be u have used s60v5 low ram phone without hacking it...usualy its gettd heated up when u used it in umts mode i.e.,downloading big files ,i think it iz obvious for any phone ryt?...
ReplyDeleteYeah ,built in browser ,maps r not gud..but there r lots of tricks, apps,forums etc from which u can modify ur phone completly..
